Welcome to SkolnikSystems.com! |
Both Aaron and Kristen are 1998 graduates of Salisbury State University (now too snooty for the "State", just Salisbury University). Each also attended Wheaton High School in Wheaton, Maryland where Kristen graduated in 1994, and Aaron in 1995.
In Early 2001, the family headed back across the Bay Bridge, and Aaron
joined the massive government bureaucracy. He spent two years working
for Troy Systems, Inc, later acquired by PEC
Solutions, Inc. (and most recently acquired by Nortel) , as a government contractor, supporting operations at
the U.S. Patent and Trademark Office
in Arlington, VA. (Sounds like a nasty commute, doesn't
it?) In February 2003, Aaron got a new gig, working at FEMA, the Federal Emergency Management Agency, which, less than a month later, became part of the U.S. Department of Homeland Security. Among other things, Aaron has managed to work his way back into television, spending his days in the FEMA HQ TV Studio. While it's not quite broadcast news, it's still good work. And, despite everything you've heard about FEMA in the news lately, Aaron says: "It's All My Fault..." ![]() On the side, Aaron is also a High School Football Official with the Washington District Football Officials Association. You may see him wearing a White Hat and Stripes on a Gridiron near you (assuming you're in DC or one of the eight counties in Maryland that the association provides service to). Aaron is also a member of the board of directors of the association, which has over 250 members and also serves as the webmaster for the association's website at www.wdfoa.org. He's glad to talk rules interpretations -- feel free to e-mail at the address below. Plus, the association is always looking for new officials -- it's never too early or late. Kristen is somehow managing to balance motherhood and work... She currently works for a Pension / Retirement Plan Adminstrator, Martin Retirement Services. What she really enjoys about her work is the flexibility it allows her. She gets to spend lots of time chasing the kids around and watching them grow up. As much as she wouldn't admit it, she's a great mother!
Nathan joined us in August 2003. He's living proof that boys are way more active than girls. At 4, we can't stop him... we can't contain him... We can't even keep up with him. Our latest addition, Olivia, was born in April 2008. She looks just like her big sister did when she was born. We're still just getting to know her, but she is an extremely good- If this didn't completely bore you to death, and for some reason you
want to e-mail us, here's your chance: Last Updated: May 4, 2008 |
